Over 400 protesters arrested in Washington DC

On Monday, April 11, 2016 in Washington D.C. over 400 protesters gave up their freedom as they were arrested as part of Democracy Spring’s week long non-violent sit-in to tell Congress to take money out of politics so that every American can have a fair voice and to bring an end to the corruption within many government systems, such as the judicial system. Among the protestors that were arrested was Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks and Wolf-Pac, Michael A.Wood Jr., and Kiyah R. a woman dressed as the Statue of Liberty (shown in a video posted on Occupy Democrats’ Facebook page)
According to the Democracy Spring website 3,500 people have pledged to risk arrest,this week, to send a message to Congress.
