On Tuesday, August 30th, The Peace Be Still Basketball League held their first signups in preparation for their upcoming basketball series which will begin on Saturday, September 3rd. Although the Thursday signup event was cancelled due to expected rain, they were able to pre-register a combination of just under fifty males and females from all over Jersey City on Tuesday..
After the registrationTeam Captains, Corrections Officers Benny Lisojo and Brandon Holmes with Sheriff’s Officer Danny Rivera, coached multiple games on the three Communipaw courts. Games were played until 10:00 PM.
The Opening Day game, will take place in Lincoln Park on the Communipaw courts on Saturday, September 3rd from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. There will be applications available for those that missed the registration days.
