Senior Day With Angela CARES

On Friday, August 19th AngelaCARES held its first annual Senior Day Celebration Health Fair, which was hosted by Angela McKnight and sponsored by Foresters Financial at the Mary Bethune McLeod Life Center located on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jersey City, NJ.

This event provided an afternoon full of information, health screenings, and an indoor lunch with nutritious foods for a most important bunch, our Senior citizens. During this event our elders were able to gain information and free gifts from a variety of organizations, clinics, and local doctors that offer services like senior daycare and assisted living, rehabilitation, and in home devices that assist in communication.

Some of the organizations and businesses present were Bayada Home Healthcare, Carepoint Health, Super Power with Dr. Esposito of Advanced Rehabilitation of Jersey City, Sunflower Adult Medical Day Care Center, Dr. Reynolds, Social Security Administration, Carol Crystal of Simply Feel Better with medical massage, Hoboken Family Planning, Christine Allen Founder of Act Now Foundation, Organo Gold Gourmet Coffee, Ask Carol, Clover Health, and many more.

The event came to an end with a light lunch and greetings from Mayor Fulop, Jersey City Council President Rolando R. Lavarro, Jr., and Congressman Donald Payne Jr.
