Summer Health and Fun
On Saturday, July 22, 2017 during Marion Gardens’ Health and Fun Day (organized by Katina Gibson) and Senior Breakfast (organized by Kimberly Ross Vice President of Marion Gardens’ Resident Council) Councilman Chris Gadsden prepared pancakes for the breakfast. Mayor Steven Fulop announced that he will support the Marion Gardens’ residents request, with the assistance of Lekendrick Shaw and friends, to repair the basketball court.
The residents enjoyed a day full of activities provided by fitness Guru Pamela Roundtree Founder of New Body.New Mind.New Living, and Zumba with Lakeeya Jackson.
There was a wealth of information and free gifts from AngelaCares, CarePoint Health, Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services, Haven Adolescent Community Respite Center, Team Wilderness, WellCare, and Women Rising. Backpacks and fresh vegetables were distributed to residents.
